As a reminder, most parking permits are no longer physical. Unless stated otherwise, your permit will be virtual.
UB Parking & Transportation Services uses License Plate Recognition system (LPR) — a virtual permit system — which allows you to use your license plate as your parking permit. Parking permission registration must be completed annually.
Your license plate information must be accurate during registration for your plate to be recognized by the LPR system. UB’s LPR system uses Optical Character Recognition technology to read license plates and match them to the information in our parking database. Inaccurate information can result in parking citations.
